Fulbright Opportunity in Armenia

We are writing to inform you of an exciting Fulbright U.S. Scholar grant opportunity for 2016-17 in Armenia. Our organization, the Council for International Exchange of Scholars, administers the Fulbright Scholar Program on behalf of the United States Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Armenia Award #6125: All Disciplines
This opportunity in Armenia gives scholars the opportunity to teach, research, or both for four to ten months at one of several possible host institutions. Candidates may also propose a Flex award, meaning a project completed over multiple, short-term stays abroad. This award is open to academics and appropriately qualified professionals, and a PhD is required.

Applications are sought in all appropriate disciplines, but applications in the following disciplines are preferred:

• American Literature
• American Studies
• Architecture
• Area Studies
• Creative Writing
• Economics
• Education
• Information Sciences
• Linguistics
• Mathematics
• Medical Sciences
• Political Science
• Psychology
• Public Administration
• Public/Global Health
• TEFL
• Urban Planning

Please also visit the 2016-17 Catalog of Awards to learn more about the opportunities available worldwide in this year’s competition. For most awards, English is sufficient for teaching and foreign language proficiency is only needed to the extent required by the proposed research project, if applicable.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and, depending on individual award requirements, hold a Ph.D. or appropriate professional/terminal degree at the time of application. The application deadline is August 3, 2015.
